Jackery Explorer 500 v2 Portable Power Station, 512Wh Solar Generator
Jackery Explorer 500 v2 is a 512Wh solar generator for campers who want silent, fume-free power instead of a gas engine.
Price range: $$$ (Premium)
What we liked
- + Silent battery power works in campgrounds with generator bans
- + 512Wh handles lights, devices and a small fridge for a night
- + No fuel, oil or exhaust to manage on the trip
Trade-offs
- - Solar panel is not included in this listing, so off-grid charging costs extra
- - Far less total energy than a gas generator on a long trip
